Integrative Oncology and your cancer treatment support. We work with many patients undergoing conventional cancer treatment. Many of them feel supported by their oncology team, but also want and need in-depth help with treatment side effects. Some patients, post-treatment, seek help living with their diagnosis. Within this model of integrative oncology, we work together with your oncology team to improve your quality of life.

Benefits

You benefit from a coordinated approach to care your care as we collaborate with your providers at all stages:

  • At the time of diagnosis: to prepare you for what lies ahead.
  • During active treatment: to reduce side effects and potentially improve your response to conventional care.
  • Post-treatment: to help with your recovery and support prevention of recurrence.

Naturopathic Doctors like myself, and my team here at the Naturopathic Wellness Center inside the Integrative Medical Clinic of Santa Rosa. We practice integrative cancer care using natural and supportive therapies to reduce side effects, therefore optimizing conventional care and prevent recurrence.

Supportive Cancer Therapies

Here are some segments from I talk I gave recently about supportive cancer therapies. The audience asked many great questions, in addition to strong interest in the use of cannabis for treatment side effects. Read my recent article on this topic.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I continually increase my knowledge about naturopathic approaches that support your cancer journey. I am the only Naturopathic Doctor member of the St. Joseph Health Tumor Board, a group of MD’s who meet to regularly review the best approaches to individual cancer cases. I am just back from the 7th Annual OncANP Conference last month. I learned about more and better ways to support patients going through and recovering from  cancer treatment. In conclusion, please feel free to contact me for a consultation about your options for supportive care.
